Wellness

A cup of chopped raw cauliflower has about 27 calories, 52 mg of vitamin C (57% DV) and 61 mcg of folate (15% DV). That makes it a good source of folate. (USDA) The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements says the body needs vitamin C to make collagen, which helps wounds heal, and that vitamin C improves absorption of iron from plant foods and helps the immune system work properly. (NIH ODS) In long-term studies cited by Harvard's Nutrition Source, cauliflower was among the foods linked with weight loss. (Harvard)
